Baseball season has also come to an end.
Our team won the regular season finishing on top in their division/league/whateveryoucallit.
They did NOT however, do well in the playoffs.
Run as a double elimination playoff series, we were out after two games (I think) We lost and lost.
The number 8 team actually ended up winning the playoffs.
Our boys did receive their big trophies though as the number 1 team in the regular season, and they really did have a GREAT season.
This will be the last year that many of the boys will play on the same team. Some are going out for travel next year, some move up to the Majors (LG will), and a few will stay in the Minors.
And this is the last year we will play for Coach Duncan. We've been with Coach Duncan for 5 years. We are some kind of gonna miss that man. He's been a FABULOUSLY wonderful coach. Truly, I could not have asked for anyone better to lead, teach, mentor my son.
*sniff* *sniff*
The boys of summer will go on - but it won't be exactly the same.
