Recent work

I've been branching out lately, with the soldering and also some etching - opening up lots of new avenues for me and I've been having a lot of fun with it!

None of these are ready for sale, but I'm planning on updating the website and going through my inventory (such that it is) and then launching some new items. I'm very excited!

On to the photos....

This is the ring I posted before, I went back and shaped it, giving it a nice doming.

This is my second ring below. Sterling silver, size 8.

The next picture is both rings after being polished.

Next, I have two pins constructed from copper. Both are hand drawn, and hand etched, then lightly oxidized so the designs really *pop*. First is the April Showers pin and following is my Palm Tree...reminds me of my days living in Florida and my trip to Cancun.

Finally, a ring suitable for guys or gals. This rustic looking ring is hand crafted from sterling silver which has been hand textured and then gently teased with the torch for added effect.

I hope to have more soon!

  1. Hi Janice,

I'm new to blogging (plays-with-fire.blogspot.com), but have been taking metalsmithing classes for about 3 years now and found you online. I like what you're doing! Very nice. Maybe we can keep in touch and give each other some ideas. I'm taking "Russian Filigree" right now and it's difficult, but so very worth it!
