I mentioned not long ago that I often create in fits and spurts, obtaining inspiration from what I have on hand. Last night was no exception.
And what I had on hand was this:
- leftover frozen smoothy (peach, strawberry, banana, and a bit of light soy milk)
- a half a banana
- raw sunflower seeds (I think they were raw)
- sea salt
- raw wild honey
- raw almond butter
The seeds I thought would add some texture.
The frozen smoothy was just too good to pass up.
And lastly the honey - for a dash of extra sweetness and a little 'gooey' factor (honey gets amazingly gooey when mixed with something cold like the frozen smoothy)
What I did:
I misted the sunflower seeds with water and then gave them a very light dusting of freshly ground sea salt.
I sliced banana in the bottom of the bowl and then drizzled (as best I could) about a tablespoon of almond butter over the nanners.
A touch of honey on that, then two spoonfuls of the frozen smoothy on top.
Top that with the sunflower seeds and another drizzle of honey and we are good to go.
I did tuck a few more banana slices around the edge.
This was SO delicious!
Even for NON raw foodists - this is GREAT snack!
Hopefully I'll get some jewelry showing up here soon.
I have not had a chance to get to the bench since Tuesday night.
