June Artists Synchroblog - Pinterest Project!

I am running a little behind (more on that later) and I don't have all my photos...but I'm trying!  I'll catch up with photos later tonight or tomorrow but I at least wanted to get my post up seeing as how others are right on time!

In case you are unaware, I'm taking part in the Artists Synchroblog - The Artists Synchroblog is a group of bloggers who post every other month on the same topic, sharing our experience or perspective. On alternate months we undertake a Pinterest Project where we each take inspiration from a pinterest picture, create something (art, a meal, a DIY project, etc) and then post about it.

 For my Pinterest project this month I chose something I've been wanting to do for a long time. Something practical and VERY timely for me.

I made TENT WEIGHTS!!  And sadly I didn't get a photo of that part of the tent, but here is my tent from this weekend.

Mine are similar to those - PVC pipe which the hardware store cut to my length. I mixed concrete and filled them halfwy. What I did differently than those posted on Pinterest though, was to drill a hole top and bottom on the pipe itself and screw the big eye bolts into the pipe. I think this will give me more options of how to attach the weights to my tent. :)

I'll snap photos later! Oh, and do you see my new lights? Center, top frame of tent? Those are my little 5.99 lights I bought at Target Friday night after the show. They clip on, don't have too low and give off plenty of light AFTER DARK. They are definitely not spotlights for daytime use, or even indoor tent use, but for night they were PERFECT. I bought three but only used two, with 60 watt bulbs and they lit my tent very brightly!
