A thought

 Saw this in passing today.

Be nice and do good, everyday is new.

A simple and to the point reminder.

It was actually part of a longer sentiment:

"Life is far too short to be sad. To be mad. To hold regret. To look back. To be depressed. To be unkind. Be nice and do good, everyday is new."

The whole statement is nice and I believe it to be good food for thought, however I also believe that there is a time to be sad, to be mad, etc. (though not to be unkind). I believe that regrets are a byproduct of a healthy conscience and that in looking back we learn. Not only that, but looking back connects us to our history.

We shouldn't necessarily LIVE in those things, but experience them in the context of a very imperfect world, and then concentrate on that last line:

Be nice and do good, everyday is new.
